Top quality hand made solid wood furniture

I design and make furniture to commission mainly for private clients in the South East of England. I make much of the furniture in solid wood believing that its natural beauty and qualities of superior strength and durability make it the perfect material to be fashioned into beautiful furniture that will stand the test of time. Oils and waxes are applied by hand to enrich, protect and bring out the colours and character of the wood and further enhance the hand made appeal of the finished piece, allowing it to age gracefully and acquire a natural patina.

As much as the furniture should withstand daily use for many decades to come, its appearance also should outlive transient fashions and styles. My designs are informed by the past yet influenced by the present, and developed to meet the needs of modern living. At the same time they incorporate the practical considerations and aesthetic preferences you will require in your new furniture. Traditional cabinet making skills are combined with modern methods to produce top quality hand made furniture that will last for generations.
